Talent Development

Germany needs highly skilled, highly motivated young teachers, scientists and researchers. They are the driving force behind Germany's leading role in education, research and technology. Their ideas, decisions, curiosity and commitment play a major role in sustaining growth and honing Germany's competitive edge.

In Talent Development, we seek out bright young people in science, technology, engineering and mathematics and help them realize their potential. Deutsche Telekom Stiftung awards scholarships to gifted young doctoral candidates and education majors preparing to teach STEM subjects.

We also give out scholarships to teenagers from immigrant families with a keen interest and a strong record of achievements in STEM subjects, and take care of young people with a special talent for mathematics. The foundation is also behind the pre-college programs attended by around 1,700 teenagers at over 50 German universities each semester.
